Omega Revolution (ΩR) is a indeed a revolution in body mounted camera stabilisation. MK-V Omega-R helps framing a shot between the ground level and a height of 2.5 meters in few seconds, combining the flexibility of Steadicam and boom range of a jib arm.

MK-V AR V2 got its upgrade after several years to the Omega Revolution (ΩR) with latest software and sensor technology. MK-V Omega-R is miles ahead in reliability and resolution than its predecessor.

The MK-V Omega System is primarily a roll cage, mounted on top of a Steadicam rig, with the camera resting inside. Roll cage and the camera roll axis is stabilized with the support of electronics and software driven system of Omega-R.

The MK-V Omega-R’s structural design is perfectly standard and light-weight. Made with the latest electronic systems, and custom composites, Omega-R is fast and has precise response. Alloy construction gives excellent rigidity and support with minimal weight.

The MK-V Omega-R is an exceptionally able-bodied piece of hardware.

Just like a regular Steadicam, MK-V Omega rig performs smooth tracking shots. What makes it stand out is the ability it gives the operator to switch from low mode to high mode, and vice versa, in less than a second. All the while it maintains a flawless level horizon during the entire shot. Moreover, camera can move in mid mode over and under the objects and props like counters, tables, window frames etc. as the Steadicam rigs center post is not required to be kept vertical anymore.

Omega-R roll cage may also be used as a free standing unit together with regular camera support like fluid / geared heads and remote heads (stabilised third axis) or maybe handheld. An amazing iPhone app developed by Ruben Sluijter, is a great addition to the Omega and brings it to its full potential. The app makes dialling of the camera to any angle, record, playback and programming roll moves very easy without losing the benefits of active stabilisation.

The cage spins the camera at over 360 deg. per second.

Although MK-V Omega System has been designed to work with a great number of cameras – ranging from small HD to 35mm film and digital cameras – the lighter the camera setup, the greater the reach that can be achieved with the rigs center post extended.
