B K Sivan, started his career way back in the early 90s as a cameraman with Doordarshan and then moved to Asianet.

Sivan got the biggest leap in his career when he got an opportunity to assist cinematography legend K V Anand. Sivan assisted Mr. Anand as Assistant Cinematographer from 1998 to 2002, which gave him the opportunity to work in famous movies like Mudhalvan, Josh, Nayak, and The Legend of Bhagat Singh,Khaki just to name a few…

Being an adventurer as well as an ever-learning person by nature Sivan stepped up his flair on steadycam when it started taking the center stage in the Indian Film Industry. It was love at first touch and he never had to turn back. Since then, in 2003, Sivan has worked with almost all the top cinematographers in the Indian film industry through movies like Pa, I, 2.0. We can get to see his touch in some Hollywood movies too like “The Experiment, After The Wedding.

His love for the equipment and the enthusiasm to explore the possibilities led him to be in regular touch with the makers of MK-V in UK. He used to be a regular visitor at their research facility in Manchester. Through his collaboration with team MK-V he earned the expertise in operating Omega-R which made him the best in India.
